2007 Agency Training Meeting

On June 22, 2007, the Foodbank of North Central Arkansas was the host of the 1st Agency Training for the north central part of Arkansas which covers Boone, Baxter, Marion, Newton, Izard, Fulton, Sharp, Stone and Searcy counties.

The training was held in the Senior Room at the Twin Lakes Baptist Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Linda Finley, Executive Director of the Foodbank of North Central Arkansas was the Master of Ceremony. Guest speakers were Deb Alich, Executive Director of the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, Little Rock; Christie Jordan, Executive Director of the Food Bank of North East Arkansas, Jonesboro; Tanya Yates, Baxter County Cooperative Extension Service Agent; Sharon Boyd, Commodity Coordinator of the Foodbank of North Central Arkansas, Norfork; and Billie Burnett, Volunteer Representative from the Stone County Community Food Ministry and 46 representatives from 23 different agencies attended.

The Calico Rock Community Care Food Program--Rudean Lester, Director, won the $500 Credit for Food Door Prize!
